OOTD - Winter Casual #2

My OOTD yesterday when I went shopping with my family.  Hope you like it!!

Also - I discovered a new store in Chatswood Westfield called Love Couture.  They sell super cute jewellery and accessories like shoes, sunnies & glasses, bags & clutches.  I <3 the store!!! I will post up a mini haul soon.

Olivia Palermo - Fashion and make-up inspiration!

Olivia Palermo is probably every girl's fashion muse. She looks stunning no matter what she wears or how she wears it!! <3

I fell in love with her Carrera y Carrera photoshoot and wanted to re-create the look. STUNNING!!

A sneak peak of my take on her makeup look - apologies for the lighting, it was taken at night.

OOTD - Winter Sunday Fun :D

Here is my latest OOTD.  Charlie and I had been sick and stuck at home ALL week thanks to the never ending rain (i'm surprised, and very grateful that sydney did not flood).  We were so glad to see the sun peep out of its home on the weekend.  Felt sooo good to be walking outside, can never take fresh air and nature for granted :)

And please excuse my groggy face :P

Bridal makeup trial!!

Last Saturday, Fi gave me the opportunity to do a makeup trial for her wedding :)  She wanted a neutral look using browns and this is how the look turned out...

As her bridesmaids will be wearing an orange number on the day, we opted for a neutral look as well.  We decided to try a different look for each of them and choose between the three looks.  Excuse the lighting!!!

Look #1 Soft glamour

Look #2 Soft smokey eye

Look #3 Defined crease

Being my first bridal makeup trial, I learned sooo many things!! e.g. dont forget to bring the lashes >< eek!!! and how noisy my makeup train case is when dragging it around on the footpath haha

I bought two Z-Palettes (I chose leopard print and pink) from crushcosmetics for $27 each last Friday and they arrived on Monday :) They are basically empty magnetic palettes and you can customise it however you like!

I bought them cos they had run out of MAC palettes at IMATS LA and I needed somewhere to store my MAC eyeshadow pots. I also tried de-poting some of my NYX single eyeshadows but who knew it would be so difficult! I shattered 3 of them already...

Anyway I plan on doing a proper review of these palettes soon...

First post and FOTD!

Yay! Finally have my blog up and running!  I have mighty plans for this blog - reviews, videos, makeup work, etc.  I figure it would be best to have my makeup work/life saved in one central site.

Upcoming posts (which I'm super excited about):
  • Bridal makeup trial
  • Neutral palette makeup tutorial series
I'll leave you with a FOTD of a very natural look (taken in NYC about a month ago)
